This Privacy Policy explains how the Discord bot (“the Bot”) handles information when it operates in Discord servers.

The Bot is designed solely to automatically clean up messages containing links for our in-game gifting system. The Bot does not track, profile, or store information about Discord users.

1. Information the Bot Processes

The Bot only processes the minimum information necessary to perform its message-cleanup function.

When a message containing an in-game gift link is posted, the Bot may temporarily read:

  • The gift link contained in the message
  • The Discord message ID, so the message can be identified for deletion if necessary

The gift link contains a gift ID, which the Bot uses to check our servers to determine whether that particular gift has been claimed.

The Bot does not use the message to identify or track the person who posted it.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

The Bot does not intentionally collect, record, or maintain information about Discord users.

In particular, the Bot does not track or store:

  • Discord usernames
  • Discord display names
  • Discord user IDs
  • Discord profile information
  • Who sent a message
  • Who generated a gift link
  • Who claimed a gift
  • User activity or behaviour
  • User profiles or histories
  • The contents of messages unrelated to gift links

The Bot does not attempt to associate gift links with the Discord users who send or claim them.

3. Message Data

The Bot only reads messages to identify whether they contain a relevant in-game gift link.

The Bot does not maintain a history of messages it encounters.

Once a message is deleted from the Discord channel, the Bot no longer has knowledge of that message or its contents. Deleted messages are not retained by the Bot for later analysis or tracking.

The Discord message ID is used only as a technical reference when a message needs to be deleted and is not used to identify a Discord user.

4. Gift IDs

Gift links contain a gift ID that allows the Bot to check whether the associated in-game gift has already been claimed.

The gift ID is used solely for this purpose. We do not use it to determine or record:

  • Which Discord user posted the link
  • Which Discord user generated the gift
  • Which Discord user claimed the gift
  • A user’s Discord identity
  • A user’s activity across Discord

The Bot does not create a user profile or history based on gift links.

5. Data Retention

The Bot is designed to retain as little information as possible.

Information read from a message is used only as necessary to determine whether the message should be removed. The Bot does not maintain a persistent database of Discord messages or user activity.

Once a message has been deleted, the Bot does not retain the message or its contents.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share Discord user information collected by the Bot with third parties.

The Bot does not provide user information to advertisers or data brokers.

The gift ID contained within a gift link may be sent to our game servers solely to determine whether the corresponding gift has been claimed. This check does not include the Discord identity of the person who posted or claimed the link.

7. Discord

The Bot operates through the Discord platform and is subject to Discord’s platform functionality and policies.

The Bot only requests and uses the Discord information and permissions necessary to perform its message-cleanup functionality.

This Privacy Policy applies specifically to information handled by our Bot and does not describe how Discord itself processes information.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to ensure that the limited information processed by the Bot is handled securely.

Because the Bot does not maintain user profiles, track users, or retain Discord message histories, there is very little user information for the Bot to retain or expose.

9. Changes to This Policy

If the Bot’s functionality or information-handling practices materially change, this Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect those changes.

The “Last updated” date at the top of this policy indicates when it was most recently revised.
