This issue should now be fixed in version 1.5.2. Please update your game.

Different coloured versions of items are not shown in the main item bar, instead, for each item there is a smaller bar just above that shows all the colour variations. It looks something like this: We are working on making this more obvious in the next update of the game.
Yes! If you are logged into Google Play (Android) or iCloud (iOS) the game will back your game up to the cloud. You can then restore it if you change phones. See the Cloud button in the options screen for info on the state of this service, and tips to get it working.

Yes you can! In the store, there is a "No Ads" IAP that will turn off ads. Plus you get some bonus gems too! If the toolbox button is still unavailable, you may just need to mow a few more lawns.
Unfortunately we currently have no way to support that. However if you use the form below to send us an email from your old and your new phone, we should be able to help. (Make sure you go to this page via the button in the game on both phones)
It seems the game does not work well in 90Hz mode. We are looking into this but you can turn it off by turning off Smooth Display in: Settings > Display > Advanced > Smooth Display
